A marvel amidst the rugged textiles of southern Egypt, it rose from the harsh environment of heaven to be the perfect example of natural attraction and ingenuity. Along the 123,000 square kilometers of Nile River between Aswan, in southern Egypt, and Khartoum, in the heart of northern Sudan, lie the Nubian communities. Nubia, one of the first African civilizations, arose as early as 2000 BC. On our Nubian Village trip from Aswan, you will stay in a natural sanctuary filled with the rarest raw materials and artificial structures, symbols, and colors. Al-Fadija, Arab Al-Areqat, and Al-Kunuz, sometimes known as Al-Mutawaqa, are three tribes of Nubians, each with its own distinct culture and customs. Beautifully detailed artwork, handcrafted items, and jewelry can be made using a variety of artistic media.
