You will be picked up by our organization from your hotel in Luxor and driven to Aswan in a private air-conditioned car. Upon your arrival, your knowledgeable tour guide will accompany you as you see the most important historical sights in the city, which include the following:
The Aswan High Dam
The Aswan High Dam marks Egypt’s first entry into the modern industrial era. The construction of the High Dam dates back to the era of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. The dam was built in the ninth century, however, under the rule of the Fatimid caliph al-Hakim Bimar Allah.
The unfinished obelisk
The 3,500-year-old monument honors the reign of Queen Hatshepsut during the 18th Dynasty and looks like a massive granite edifice sleeping. The memorial was abandoned after some fractures appeared in the rocks. According to some historians, the obelisk would have been 42 meters tall and weighed 1,200 tons if it had been completed.
Philae Temple
One of the most stunning temples along the Nile is the Philae Temple, which was started by Ptolemy II and completed by the Romans. The goddess Isis, a very popular figure who was considered the source of life since she brought Osiris to life and gave birth to Horus, was the subject of the Philae temple.
After serving you a delicious lunch in a restaurant overlooking the Nile, we will take you to a 5-star hotel where you will spend the night.
Breakfast boxes are a must first thing in the morning before you join your personal Egyptologist, who will drive you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to see:
Abu Simbel Temples
Ramesses II built the Abu Simbel temples, one of the most impressive ancient structures in Egypt, in the far south of the country. There are two nearby temples on the site that were carved out of sandstone cliffs. However, the main temple is dedicated to the pharaoh himself, and the entrance to it consists of four paired colossal sculptures (each statue is 20 meters high). Twice a year, the four statues of Amun-Re, Ptah, Ra-Horakhty, and Ramesses II may receive sunlight due to the location of the temple.
Your overnight trip to Aswan and Abu Simbel from Luxor will end where you will be transferred to Aswan for lunch at a reputable restaurant, followed by another drive to Luxor and transfer to your hotel.
