Tour Plan

Itinerary : Tour to Edfu and Kom Ombo

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to enjoy a tour to:

Edfu Temple

The majestic temple dedicated to the Temple of Horus, Edfu, is considered one of the best-preserved religious temples in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged the murder of his father, Osiris, by killing Seth.

Lunch at a local restaurant, then go to visit:

Kom Ombo Temple

It stands on high ground overlooking the Nile. It differs from the other temples because of its double entrance, each dedicated to a deity: “Haroeris” with the head of his falcon and “Sobek” with the head of a crocodile. The Kom Ombo Temple was built in honor of two deities, the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, or ancient Horus, with the falcon’s head. Also, the importance of Kom Ombo lies in its vast sugar cane.

Meals: Lunch

Finally, back to your hotel/Nile cruise in Luxor.
