Upon arrival in Luxor, your private Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you to explore the masterpieces of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs by visiting the most famous archaeological sites, including:
Valley of the Kings
The burial place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasties is home to tombs, including the great pharaoh King Ramesses II and the pharaoh King Tutankhamun. The graves were filled with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decorations inside the tombs are still well preserved.
Hatshepsut Temple
It is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples. The temple is built on three levels with two broad ramps at a central location linking the levels together.
Colossi of Memnon
Two colossal stone statues of King Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made of blocks of quartzite sandstone found in Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor.
Lunch will be served at the oriental restaurant overlooking the Nile, then join your private guide to enjoy:
Karnak Temple
There is no site in Egypt more impressive than the Karnak Temple. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man, and it represents the combined achievement of many ancient generations of builders and pharaohs. Karnak Temple is three main temples located on 247 acres of land.
We will transfer you to Luxor train station to catch the first-class train to Aswan and, upon arrival, transfer to a 5-star hotel in Aswan for 5-star check-in and overnight stay.
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to join your Egyptologist tour guide to continue your trip by visiting the tourist attractions in Aswan, such as:
High Dam
Built across the Nile in Aswan and built between 1960 and 1970, the High Dam greatly impacted Egypt’s economy and culture.
The unfinished obelisk
The unfinished obelisk is the largest in antiquity. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to complement the Lateran Obelisk (which was initially at Karnak} and was later brought to the Lateran Palace in Rome.
Philae Temple
Philae Temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis of love and beauty. The temple complex was dismantled and moved to the nearby island of Agilkia as part of the UNESCO Campaign for Nubia project to protect this and other complexes before the completion of the Aswan High Dam in 1970.
You will enjoy a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant before we transfer you to the train station to catch your train towards Qena. Upon your arrival, you will find one of our representatives waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in Hurghada. Finish your tour in Luxor and Aswan from Hurghada.
