Upon your arrival at Cairo Airport, you will meet your tour guide, an Egyptologist, who will accompany you to discover the history of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs in one of the Seven Wonders of the World in the Giza Pyramids Complex:

Giza pyramid complex

The complex includes three main pyramids, six small pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The complex dates back to the Fourth Dynasty, 2400 BC.

The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramids belong to “King Khufu” and are the oldest and largest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to remain intact. The Great Pyramid’s height is 147 meters, the number of stones used in construction is 2,300,000, and it took twenty years to build.

Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx belongs to “King Chephren” and is the giant statue in the world, with a height of 73 meters. Long, 19 m, and its width is 20 m in height. It is the oldest known monumental statue.

Valley Temple

The ancient Egyptians used a granite mortuary temple in the mummification process, and this is the only remaining temple on the Giza plateau.

Lunch will be served in a restaurant overlooking the pyramids/Nile, then transfer to visit:

Egyptian Museum

The museum displays a rare collection of 5,000 years of art. More than 250,000 ancient Egyptian artifacts were presented, including an exhibition dedicated to Tutankhamun’s collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that were kept in his tomb for over 3,500 years.

Afterward, you will head to a 5-star hotel in Cairo to spend the night.

Day 2 Tour to Alexandria Tourist Attractions

Enjoy breakfast, check out from the hotel, and take a wonderful private tour to Alexandria to join your private Egyptologist tour guide to visit:

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa

Roman burial site whose family tomb reveals a fusion of Egyptian and Roman art and architecture. Go down underground to visit the tomb and the Caracalla Hall.

Back above ground, continue your journey by visiting:-

Pompeii Column

An 82-foot (25-meter) granite column was built in honor of Emperor Diocletian, who liberated the besieged city and brought food to its starving people.

Qaitbay Citadel

A castle of the fifteenth century located on the Mediterranean coast. It was founded in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf, Qait Bay. Qaitbay Citadel is located in the same place as Pharos Island.

Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant, and then you will end your tour with a visit to:

Alexandria Library

A copy of every book published in the world is kept in the library, making it one of the world’s greatest literary sites. The library also includes many exhibitions related to the history of Egypt and a display of rare antique books.
